Pedagogical Model

Saint Thomas, responding to the need to educate well-rounded personalities with Christian values and excellent professionals with the requisite skills to face the globalization process and the knowledge society, started implementing the Syllabus Pedagogical Model in 1998.

This Pedagogical Model is focused on nurturing the autonomy of the student, his or her cognitive responsibility and independence, as well as the ability to direct and manage his or her own learning and life project. It thus encourages students to think and to learn how to learn, having the casting role in these processes.

Each semester, students have the official curriculum available on the institutional intranet, together with the syllabus and class material for each course being taken. Direct, swift access to study materials allows the student to better prepare for class.

This tool also includes a discussion forum for each course, allowing students to be permanently in contact with professors and classmates.
